The protection of your personal data is very important to us. So we try to avoid data wherever possible and encrypt the necessary information with modern encryption methods that offer a high level of protection.

We don’t use advertising, don’t sell your data, don’t use data hungry services and are always looking for improvements how we can protect your privacy. We treat your personal data confidentially and according to the legal data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.

With this data protection declaration we inform you about the purposes for which personal data is collected, processed and used. The legal basis for data protection is to be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and the EU Basic Data Protection Regulation (EU-DSGVO).

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

2. KimaiBar

When using the app, personal data is collected by the app and sent to the Kimai instance you setup in the settings of the app. Sensitive information like your tasks, projects or times are not sent to us or any other service except the Kimai server you specify. If you have any concerns regarding data protection, please contact the postal address or e-mail address mentioned in the imprint.

2.1. Personal data

The app processes personal data of the users on their respective devices to fulfill its purpose. Certain data, which are named below, will be transferred to your Kimai server or the operator to fulfill the service. We process and store personal data only for the period of time required to achieve the service or if required by law.

2.2. Feedback and bug reporting

Sending feedback within the app uses log files and/or crash reports of the application as an attachment to an email. This data may contain personal information. The user may attach their e-mail address to the report and a message. This information is sent to us using a secure connection (TLS). The user agrees that feedback information can be viewed and stored by us, just like any other e-mail addressed to us.

2.3. Analytics

To improve our services and to better understand the use of our app, we collect anonymous statistics about our app. For this purpose, anonymized user interactions are transmitted to our servers. We explicitly do not use pseudonyms, no personal information is included and the individual interactions in the app can not be traced or linked.

2.4. Cookies in web app

In our web app we use so called “Cookies”. Those cookies are small text files, which will be stored permanently on your device. They’ll be stored until you or your browser delete them. In our web app you can delete all account data, which will also delete all cookies originated by our web app.

The usage of cookies takes only place after clicking the respective button to join a group. By clicking you give consent to save cookies, according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR. Furthermore the operator has a legitimate interest in providing a technically optimized experience with the web app, so using the web app without cookies isn’t possible. Therefore storing those cookies follows Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Those functional cookies are only used for the functionality of our web app. Tracking or any other usage of those cookies doesn’t happen, neither by us nor by any third party.

You can deny the usage of cookies in your browser. Keep in mind, that your experience and the functionality of our web app then might be limited.

3. Website

The website is made available by servers of netcup (hereinafter referred to as web hosters). The webhoster undertakes to treat data which it has available for processing exclusively in accordance with DSGVO.

3.1. Web tracking

On this website, data (browser used, operating system, resolution, navigation behaviour on our site, time) are collected and stored using the web analysis service software “Matomo” (www.matomo.org), a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd. for optimisation and marketing purposes. Personal data such as the IP address are only stored in anonymous form.

4. User rights

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to demand the correction or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions regarding data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. Furthermore, you have the right to complain to the responsible supervisory authority.

4. Data and third parties

The data processed and stored by the operator and the hoster are processed exclusively by the aforementioned parties and are not passed on or sold to third parties.

In order to guarantee data protection compliant processing, we have concluded a contract for order processing with our host and web host.

5. Update of the privacy policy

For this reason we ask you to inform yourself about our data protection measures at regular intervals by consulting our data protection declaration.
